Richard E Sall MD grew up in Detroit. He is a
General Surgeon who underwent the rigorous training of a surgical residency.
Eventually becoming Board Certified in both Medicine and
Surgery, he experienced almost every aspect of the medical delivery system over
several decades. He now specializes in Occupational Medicine and continues to
be active in medical practice full time and lives with his wife in Central
California.
He started writing in 2001. A book called "Strategies in
Workers' Compensation" was published in 2004 and focuses on medical management problems of injured workers.
A second book concerning injured workers in 7/2006 called
"Behind
the Union Curtain" chronicles the tumultuous history of labor unions
in the U.S. beginning with the train wrecks in the 1800s and the injured union
members conflicts with company doctors.
His first novel titled "Straightjacket"
in 5/2006 is an insightful story about the coming of age of a surgeon and about
love, hope, healing, and the high cost of medicine. Read our
