"Lost Bodies" is the title of Francois
Gantheret's debut novel. The novel opens in a desert prison camp, where Andres
is being held half-dead, at the bottom of a well. Outside the fort, Tamia waits
for her lover, who is thought to be a prisoner. However, one of the guards that
she seduced reveals that her lover is dead. That same night, she finds Andres
as he attempts to escape. Tamia takes pity on him, takes him to freedom, and
nurses him back to health. As the couple get closer, Andres' terrorist past
emerges, and the unbelievable truth about Tamia's dead lover is revealed. To
