Adam Lowe page

Adam Lowe, known to his friends as "Beyonce", is a Leeds "It" boy and up and coming new writer.  Noted for his column in the Leeds Guide ("Boy Stroy"), Beyonce's journalistic style has been likened to "Sex and the City" meets "Queer as Folk" with a whole lot of attitude.
His short story "Those Were His Eyes" is to published in the next issue of "Zine", a Leeds-based arts journal.  The story's about a victim of child abuse who grows up and takes his violent revenge upon the superstar who ruined his life. "Those Were His Eyes" is sure to turn heads, in terms of both content and style.

Beyonce has also had poems published in the Leeds Guide, an American anthology by Watermark Press and his college magazine, "The Bottom Line".

Known to many on the nightlife circuits of Leeds, Beyonce has also written and performed the lyrics to "Some Justice" with international players on the music scene, DJGRH and Paul Maddox.

Finally, Beyonce's current novel manuscript is circulating editors' and literary critics' offices, looking for the perfect home.  "In the Garden of Gethsemane" is a magic realism novel about social abjection, individuality and freedom, reimagining the stories of "Paradise Lost" and the Bible, with influences as varied as Baudelaire, T. S. Eliot and Hans Christian Anderson. Read our Adam Lowe interview
